Workers' dissatisfaction is growing, seven unions representing 25,000 employees are sending a message to the Sarajevo Canton Government today

(Patria) - The Coordination of Trade Unions of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Trade Unions of Sarajevo Canton, whose salaries are paid from the Budget of Sarajevo Canton, the Fund of the Sarajevo Canton Health Insurance Institute, and the communal economy of Sarajevo Canton, as well as the Independent Trade Union of Primary Education and Upbringing of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina – Cantonal Board of SSOOiO of Sarajevo Canton, the Trade Union of Police of Sarajevo Canton, the Independent Trade Union of Civil Servants and Employees of Sarajevo Canton, the Independent Trade Union of Civil Servants and Employees in State Administration Bodies, Judicial Authorities and Public Institutions in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina – Coordination of Sarajevo Canton
The Trade Union of Secondary and Higher Education, Upbringing, Science and Culture of Bosnia and Herzegovina – Cantonal Board of Sarajevo Canton, the Trade Union of Healthcare Workers in Sarajevo Canton, and the Independent Trade Union of Workers in the Communal Economy of Sarajevo Canton will hold a press conference today.

At the conference, they will inform the public about the demands of the Trade Union Coordination, the absence of social dialogue, and the poor attitude of the Sarajevo Canton Government towards 25,000 workers in Sarajevo Canton.

Earlier, these seven trade unions submitted a request to the Sarajevo Canton Government for the initiation of social dialogue for a salary increase starting from the beginning of 2025, as well as a request for the payment of aid according to the Decree of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

As announced by these trade unions, they will also send a special message today ahead of the Sunday elections.
