Storm hits Tuzla, Trebinje and Kozarska Dubica, authorities clearing roads and repairing damage

(Patria) - Relevant services in the City of Tuzla are actively working on repairing the consequences of the storm that hit the area during the night.

"After the storm ended, the repair work began, involving the removal of broken trees and debris that covered roads and settlements. The rapid response of the Service ensures that the roads will be cleared as soon as possible, allowing for the unimpeded movement of citizens and vehicles," it was announced.

Citizens are asked for patience and caution during the work to normalize the situation as quickly as possible.

Storm also hit Trebinje

A strong storm hit Trebinje this morning. Significant material damage has been caused.

The Operational Centre for Civil Protection states that they have received about ten reports so far.

A large number of trees were felled due to strong winds. Many cars were damaged.

In less than two hours, 17 liters of rain per square meter fell, and the wind speed was 97 kilometers per hour.

In Kozarska Dubica, on-duty services are on the ground repairing damage

The Mayor of the Municipality of Kozarska Dubica, Radenko Reljić, said that his municipality was hit by a terrible storm, unprecedented even for the oldest residents, and that on-duty services are on the ground trying to repair the damage, which is measured in hundreds of thousands of convertible marks.

Reljić stated that the Municipality of Kozarska Dubica expects assistance from relevant republican institutions in repairing the damage from last night's storm.

He told reporters that hail broke windows on buildings, that water entered many homes, crops were destroyed, and rural roads were damaged, and citizens are reporting damage to their cars.

"We felt helpless when this unprecedented storm hit the municipality, but fortunately, there were no human casualties. Now it is up to us to survey the area and see what needs to be done. May it not happen again," Reljić added.

In Kozarska Dubica, the electricity supply is being normalized after interruptions due to the storm accompanied by hail.
