Severe weather causes numerous problems in Dalmatia: Floods, uprooted trees

(Patria) - The centre of the cyclone is currently over the northern Adriatic, leading to a very varied wind situation.

In Dalmatia, stormy lebić or south-westerly winds are raising waves, north-westerly winds are blowing along the western coast of Istria, and a bura wind has picked up under Velebit.

There were also several instances of pumping out accumulated water, including at the Amfora hotel in Split, and the wind uprooted several trees during the night.

Maritime traffic is in collapse, with numerous catamaran and ferry lines cancelled due to multi-meter waves.

Under Velebit, there are also problems with road traffic, especially for the first and second group of vehicles.

Precipitation is locally abundant, so the possibility of floods should be expected in the coming hours. Strong storms are possible throughout the day.

Instability will continue during the night and tomorrow morning, but then gradual clearing from the west will follow. From tomorrow, it will gradually get warmer, so during Wednesday and Thursday, we can expect around 20 degrees Celsius inland again, and up to 24-25 degrees Celsius in the south.
