Unsuccessful MP Wants to Become Mayor of Zenica: Works at ZEDA, Which Is on the Verge of Closure!?

Naidin Ahmetspahić is the SDA and SBB candidate for the position of Mayor of Zenica. He is employed at the Zenica Economic Development Agency (ZEDA) as a project manager for local economic development, writes the Patria news agency.

Ahmetspahić, within the sector where he works, should be significantly helping the local community, but ZEDA's business report says otherwise. The logical question then arises: if he hasn't been able to devise adequate projects and bring prosperity within the company where he works, how will he be capable as mayor?

Namely, according to the financial business report for 2015, ZEDA is operating at a loss of 228,113 KM! Those familiar with the situation at this Zenica Economic Development Agency point out that there haven't been any adequate projects for 12 years, and it is certain that ZEDA will eventually be shut down.

Incidentally, the ZEDA Agency is a development institution whose task is to create development priorities for the city of Zenica and to create and coordinate partnerships for their implementation. ZEDA is the central organization for supporting the development of the City, which is achieved through direct cooperation and strong support from the city administration as the local government.

However, the situation is not good at all, as evidenced by the fact that in February 2015, ZEDA was forced to take out a revolving loan of 100,000 KM from IK banka to finance the completion of some project activities, and they even recorded this as income!?

In 2015, total employee costs amounted to 314,352 KM, which includes costs for salaries, meal allowances, holiday bonuses, and accident insurance for 13 employees at the Agency. Therefore, despite negative business operations, Ahmetspahić even secured a holiday bonus for himself.

How enthusiastic Ahmetspahić is and how eager he is to help his fellow citizens is also shown by data from the Center for Civil Initiatives, which monitored the work of the Assembly of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, where Ahmetspahić is an MP. During his term, he did not ask a single question or submit an initiative!

In addition to occupying a seat in the assembly, Ahmetspahić is also the chairman of the Commission for Agriculture, Forestry, Water Management, and Veterinary Medicine.
