Unusual incident: Thieves rob entire village near Foča

A group of thieves robbed almost the entire village of Budanj near Foča during the night between Wednesday and Thursday, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The picky thieves took the highest quality dried meat and rakija, some money, and several valuable agricultural machines. Police in Foča say they have never had a case where thieves robbed almost an entire village in one night.

The village of Budanj is located above the Miljevina brown coal mine, and many elderly people live there, who stay at their homes throughout the day and night. The thieves most likely came late at night. They entered barns and drying sheds, from which they took dried meat and agricultural machines, from one old house they took rakija, and from the local church they stole money, of which there was not much.

The villagers are in shock, and they believe the thieves had someone from the village who provided them with information about where the meat and rakija were located.
