Disagreement between Josipović and Grabar-Kitarović: Reason for the quarrel is relocation of the President's Office

Ivo Josipović, former President of Croatia, announced the relocation of the President's Office to the residence in Zagreb's Visoka Street, with the move beginning as early as this week, Croatian media report, Patria reports.

The Croatian government, at its session on Thursday, gave the President's Office the management of the residence in Zagreb's Visoka Street, to which the elected President of the Republic of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, announced the relocation of her office. At the same time, the government gave the entire complex on Pantovčak to the State Office for State Property Management (DUUDI).

If the relocation is not completed by the end of Ivo Josipović's term, then it is up to the elected president, when she takes office, to complete the relocation if she wishes, the President's Office states.

This decision has drawn sharp criticism from HDZ ranks and from the inner circle of Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović.

Recall, the Office of the elected President of the Republic of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, stated yesterday that President Ivo Josipović will be responsible for endangering national security and preventing the democratic transfer of power if he makes a decision to relocate the President's Office from Pantovčak to the residence in Zagreb's Visoka Street.
