First Zagorje billionaire Božidar Gorup has disappeared

Zagorje businessman Božidar Gorup (51) from Tomaševec near Klanjec disappeared on February 1, writes the portal zagorje.com. The disappearance is being handled by the Krapina-Zagorje Police Department, and his picture with personal data is also in the National Register of Missing Persons, Patria reports.

Gorup left home in an unknown direction and never returned. In 2012, he became the first Zagorje billionaire when his company Gorup, which deals with trade, agriculture, and renewable energy sources, exceeded one billion kuna in consolidated revenue.

Investment worth 70 million euros

Božidar, with his younger brother Damir, started his own business about twenty years ago. They opened a small agricultural store and pharmacy and rented a delivery vehicle for transporting raw materials. The business expanded more and more, and in 2013, the company began to significantly engage in the production of calves and also has a biodiesel factory.

Gorup planned to complete the investment they had started in the next three years, into which he planned to invest a total of 70 million euros, he said last year in an interview for zagorje.com.
