Nešić's appointees replaced after all: Zoran Gotovac appointed to Security Vetting Committee instead of Pavlović

(Patria) - The Council of Ministers of BiH, at the proposal of the Ministry of Security, adopted the Decision on
the appointment of the Committee for resolving appeals in the security vetting procedure due to the expiry of the mandate of the previous members, with a correction at the session.

As Patria has learned, and which we wrote about yesterday, the name of one member of the Committee was changed today. Instead of Srđan Pavlović from SIPA, who is a friend of Nenad Nešić, the arrested and dismissed Minister of Security, Zoran Gotovac from SIPA was appointed.

Other members are Jelena Savić from the Ministry of Security, a member of OSA whose name we know but will not disclose for protection (Bosniak), Mustafa Dautović from the Ministry of Defence, and Boris Jukić from the Ministry of Justice. This is also an extremely important Committee, as the careers of police officers depend on its decisions in cases of revocation of security clearances.

At today's session, the Committee for appeals of police officers was not filled at the proposal of the Ministry of Security of BiH. This Committee is competent for making decisions on appeals filed by police officers against decisions made by BiH police bodies regarding the status of a police officer or in cases of omission by a police body to make a decision regarding the status of a police officer.

And here, a new proposal emerged, as Minister Nešić planned to appoint Ljubomir Kuravica as the President of the Committee to the vacant position after the retirement of Samir Rizvo. However, Deputy Minister Ivica Bošnjak proposed Ermin Pešta from the Ministry of Security of BiH to the Committee. The mandate of the Committee members expires at the end of this year.

The Committee also includes Veljko Lazić (GP BiH), Ljubiša Pandurević (SIPA), Edin Memić (SIPA), Samir Mirvić (DKPT), Željko Bogut (Ministry of Justice of BiH), and Lidija Markota (Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH).
