(Patria) - Former Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina Nenad Nešić should be released from custody, after the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina did not request an extension of custody but only prohibitive measures, his lawyer Senka Nožica confirmed for BHRT.
Nešić is expected to be released from custody today or by Monday at the latest.
He was arrested at the end of last year as part of a corruption investigation, along with Mladen Lučić and five other individuals.
Nešić and others are suspected of committing criminal offenses of association for the purpose of committing criminal offenses of money laundering, abuse of official position or authority, and receiving bribes.
At the end of January, Nešić resigned from his position as Minister of Security of BiH.
