NES BiH: The agreed-upon betrayal of the state will not pass!

(Patria) - Since the leaders of the "Trojka" parties, HDZ, and SNSD agreed at Milorad Dodik's private property that Dragan Čović would submit a document containing everything they discussed, that was done today.

This was announced tonight by the National European Party (NES) of BiH, which reminds that Čović emphasized at a press conference in Mostar that the document contains previous proposals on amendments to the Election Law of BiH, as well as discussions about the status of foreigners in the Constitutional Court of BiH.

It was agreed in principle that two judges would be elected by Republika Srpska, four members by the FBiH, and three by the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Čović explained.

According to these statements by Čović, NES points out, it is now clear that Dodik has been accommodated to "remove" foreign judges from the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This is the compromise the "Trojka" was talking about.

"All these "compromises" by the "Trojka", which are not compromises but pure subservience and betrayal, are contrary to the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights.

In addition to removing foreign judges, they would also introduce the ethnic affiliation of the judges to be elected into the law, which is not in the Constitution now, and who knows what else they have planned regarding the decision-making process. Pure unconstitutional activity and the introduction of blockades into the Constitutional Court.

Dragan Čović also announced today that he submitted to the "Trojka" and SNSD a proposal for amendments to the Election Law regulating the election of the "Croatian" member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Nothing is changing in Republika Srpska, nor when it comes to the election of the member of the Presidency from the Bosniak people, according to Čović. They will be elected by all citizens as before.

Only the member of the Presidency from the Croatian people would be elected by Croats. And that, no less, in the final instance, in just one canton with a Croatian majority.

Therefore, it is necessary to recall the Constitutional Court's decision from 2000 (Partial Decision III in Case No. U5/98), which states that members of the BiH Presidency are not elected by members of only one nation, but by all citizens in their electoral unit.

'65. It must not be forgotten that a Serb - member of the BiH Presidency, for example, was not elected solely by the votes of voters who are ethnically Serbs, but by the votes of all citizens of Republika Srpska without a specific ethnic affiliation.

He, therefore, does not represent Republika Srpska as an entity, nor the Serb people, but all citizens of Republika Srpska as an electoral unit. The same applies to a Bosniak and a Croat as members elected from the Federation,' the Constitutional Court of BiH concludes.

The leaders of the "Trojka" have completely disregarded the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights. The desires of Čović and Dodik, which introduce new discrimination and undermine state institutions, are more important to them.

There will be no resolution of these issues without comprehensive amendments to the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This will not pass, and such a betrayal of the state, if not earlier, will ultimately be stopped in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina," NES announced.
