(Patria) - The Face TV Political CD Personality of the Year is Nermin Ogrešević, president of the People's European Union and mayor of Cazin. He won 9,558 votes.

The criteria used by Face TV in selecting candidates were YouTube viewership, number of comments, number of guest statements picked up by other media, and the social aspect, i.e., the social significance of his interview.

Biography of Nermin Ogrešević

Nermin Ogrešević was born on 19 December 1972 in Cazin. He completed his primary and secondary education in his hometown. He earned a degree in economics from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Tuzla in 1999. He obtained a master's degree in economic sciences in 2011.

Until 2007, he was a member of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA), after which he participated in the founding of the Party of Democratic Activity (A-SDA). From 2014, he was president of this party until February 2021, when he became president of the People's European Union (NES), formed by the merger of the A-SDA and the Independent Bosnian-Herzegovinian List (NBL).

After graduating, Ogrešević began working at Privredna banka in Bihać, and then at the fund management company "Kapital Invest" d.d. Bihać. He continued his career at the public company "Komunalije", and in 2003 became a representative in the Assembly of the Una-Sana Canton.

He was first elected mayor of the Municipality of Cazin in 2004, becoming one of the youngest mayors in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He ran for the same position in the local elections of 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2020, when he again won the mayoral mandate.
