(Patria) - Endless convoys of cars and motorcycles filled the streets of Sarajevo in the evening hours in the now traditional "Lily Parade" on the occasion of March 1st, BiH Independence Day.
This parade once again showed the strong emotion that binds the citizens of our homeland to the date when the will for a sovereign and independent state was confirmed.
Participants of the parade, as in previous years, gathered at the car market in Stup, and then, playing music and waving flags, set off in a convoy through the city.
After making a loop around the City Hall, they will return to the starting point.
The convoy briefly stopped during its movement at the tram station where a tragic tram accident recently occurred, to pay tribute to the tragically deceased Erdoan Morankić from Brčko.
Participants were asked to display exclusively the flag with lilies, the first flag of independent RBiH, and to respect the rules of conduct and traffic instructions.
The "Lily Parade" has been announced not only in Sarajevo but also in Bihać, Zenica, Tuzla, Mostar, Jajce, and other cities in BiH.
