(Patria) - KS Assembly delegate Muamer Bandić called on the KS Government to react urgently and take a stance regarding the announced reception by the Israeli Embassy, where they are marking the anniversary of unfortunate events that triggered a wave of violence in the Gaza Strip, leading to genocide against Palestinians.
"Given the sensitive moment and all the developments in the Middle East, I consider such a propaganda event unnecessary and superfluous, which could lead to public unrest in Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina," Bandić stated.
To recall, the Embassy of Israel and the Chamber of Commerce of the State of Israel in BiH announced that on October 15th, they will organize a "reception in Sarajevo on the occasion of the anniversary of Hamas's attack on Israel on October 7th last year".
The non-resident Israeli Ambassador to BiH, Galit Peleg, scheduled the reception at the Hotel "Evropa".
Additionally, the Israeli Chamber of Commerce announced that a photo exhibition by Ziv Koren and a screening of the film "Scream before silence" by Sheryl Sandberg will be held on that occasion.
