Nenadić presents exposé, youth in focus

SARAJEVO, (Patria) -. The designate for the composition of the new Government of Sarajevo Canton, Mario Nenadić, presented the exposé, and then thanked everyone for the proposals and consultations he had held in the previous days.

“The new Government will work quickly and resolve issues on the go. It will continue to work on open and new issues. We are ready to speed up all processes, and at the same time, we have coordinated plans,” said Nenadić.

He adds that they will be a strong wind at the back of European integration and will develop Sarajevo Canton as a place of tolerance and coexistence.

“In our future work, we will be guided by the principles of legality, the fight against corruption, and the public interest. This Government will not pursue a policy of revenge. Rest assured that we will not direct a single word towards our predecessors and associates. We ask you all not to try to drag this Government into high politics, as this can be an obstacle to the realization of citizens' daily issues,” says Nenadić.

He notes that they want to work exclusively in Sarajevo Canton, within the framework of the FBiH Constitution and other documents.

“I will lead it decentrally, which means that each minister will have enough space and freedom. We will perform our duties professionally with the aim of achieving the best possible results, which must be visible. All eyes are on us, which makes our responsibility even greater. In addition to protecting the interests of the constituent peoples and others, we will work to protect all minorities. We plan to open Sarajevo faster and stronger to its immediate and wider surroundings,” emphasizes the designate for the composition of the KS Government.

He adds that the administration in the Canton is expensive and insufficiently efficient.

“The fight against corruption, which remains one of the biggest problems in our society, and we will fight against it with all legal means. Public spending has not only not decreased, but we have indications that it has even increased,” says Nenadić.

He points out that numerous ombudsman recommendations have been ignored and promises that they will work on implementing these recommendations at thematic sessions.

He also announces a fight for the return of Sarajevo Canton's property, especially from outside BiH.

“One of the priorities will be the issue of air pollution, which exceeds all boundaries. We will review everything that has been undertaken. These measures will not yield immediate results, but we must start immediately,” Nenadić conveys.

The likely future Prime Minister of KS also says that they will respect the policies of BiH institutions on migration.

“The focus of our work will be on young people; we want to enable them to live and work in their country. To complete their internships after schooling and to be able to work, not to be ashamed of their homeland. To be citizens of the world, but in their own country,” emphasizes Nenadić.
