Ruthless revenge for the massacre: French bombed the ISIL capital all night

France carried out new airstrikes on the Syrian city of Raqqa, the stronghold of the Islamic State, which the jihadists declared their "capital" in Syria, AFP reports, according to the news agency Patria.

The French Ministry of Defense confirmed that new attacks were carried out shortly after midnight. 16 bombs were dropped on the jihadists' positions, and ten Rafale and Mirage 2000 fighters participated in the operation. An Islamist command center and one of their training camps were destroyed.

- Carried out in cooperation with the US Air Force, the attack targeted objectives identified during previous missions of the French army in Syria. Both targets were destroyed simultaneously, the Ministry stated.
