(Patria) - According to collected data, traffic on most roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina is operating without jams and special restrictions this morning. Light rain is falling in some areas of Bosnia, so drivers are advised to drive cautiously and maintain a safe distance between vehicles. We also appeal to other road users to respect traffic regulations, according to BIHAMK.
On the main roads: Dobro Polje-Miljevina, Tuzla-Bijeljina, and Jablanica-Blidinje, traffic is allowed for vehicles up to 3.5 tons, while traffic for vehicles over 3.5 tons remains suspended.
Due to road repair works, the A-1 Kakanj-Lašva motorway section (3 km long) is closed, and vehicles are being diverted to use the opposite side of the motorway in both directions.
On the A-1 motorway sections Sarajevo sjever-Podlugovi, Sarajevo zapad-Lepenica, and Bijača-Počitelj (Hercegovina bridge), traffic is redirected to the overtaking lane due to ongoing works.
Works are underway on the reconstruction of the bridge over the Mrižnica stream on the M-5 main road, Izačić-Bihać border crossing. Vehicles are being diverted to a temporary bypass near the works, with alternating traffic flow.
Repair works are in progress on the Srbac-Derventa main road, which will result in traffic suspension until the end of June. During the suspension, vehicles are being diverted to the alternative route Srbac-Prnjavor-Derventa.
Due to a sports event, the Karanovac-Krupa na Vrbasu section of the Banja Luka-Jajce main road will be closed to all vehicles, except buses, today from 09:30 to 19:00. Alternative routes are Banja Luka-Čađavica-Mrkonjić Grad and Crna Rijeka-Mrkonjić Grad.
The Prisika border crossing remains closed to traffic due to significant damage sustained in a traffic accident. At other border crossings, passenger vehicle waiting times are currently short.
In observance of Kurban Bayram, the transport of explosives is prohibited in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina until midnight tonight.
Due to the registration of passengers under the new EU Entry/Exit System (EES), longer waiting times at border crossings are possible.
The Brčko border crossing is open for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tons. As of December 2, 2025, the Karakaj border crossing will be open for all vehicle categories. Traffic for all trucks is prohibited at the Šepak border crossing.
