NO DELAY Carriers announced protest for September 1st

(Patria) - The Consortium Logistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed that the protest announced for September 1st will be held without delay, and will last until all demands of this sector are met. According to them, all mechanisms of institutional dialogue have been exhausted, and the promises of the authorities have not been fulfilled.

"After a long, patient, and rational approach, and a collective belief in the promises of the authorities, we have been brought to a dead end. From September 1st, the 'French model in the Bosnian-Herzegovinian way' will begin to be applied," the Consortium announced.

Coordinators will hold meetings with the police, mayors, and city mayors in all local communities to present the model and the reasons for the protest.

The Consortium states that the reasons for the protest are multiple:

Ignoring promises and agreements – failure to fulfill 17 conclusions reached with Minister Edin Forto, including amendments to the Rulebook on Licensing;
Illegal arrests of drivers – deprivation of liberty for 48 hours without explanation and basic rights;

Economic damage – estimated at 243 million KM, due to obligations that, contrary to laws, transfer BiH's sovereignty to other countries;

Ineffective foreign policy – the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not resolved bilateral problems with Croatia and other countries;

Outdated procedures – digitalization of processes has remained unimplemented;

Lack of reforms in the veterinary sector – Minister Staša Košarac, according to their statements, has not improved the work of the Veterinary Office or the coordination of inspections;

"The state has not protected this sector, and ministers Forto and Konaković have not fulfilled even the minimum of their promises. In the meantime, bureaucrats are only protecting their own interests," the Consortium emphasizes.

They add that the protest is not directed against citizens.

"We call for understanding from the citizens. Our fight is a fight for BiH, its citizens, and its economy," the Consortium states.
