Not enough gas, six heating plants shut down, citizens left without heating

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - KJKP „Sarajevogas“d.o.o has started disconnecting heating plants from the gas system due to a lack of sufficient natural gas.

"Six large boiler rooms have already been shut down, and the shutdown of all other boiler facilities is expected. In this regard, we can expect that a large number of citizens will be left without heating as early as tomorrow. Given that certain quantities of alternative fuels have been consumed during the previous period due to the same problem, and as extremely low temperatures are expected in the coming period, KJKP“ Toplane – Sarajevo“ d.o.o do not have sufficient fuel quantities to provide heating using alternative fuel.

If conditions for normalizing the supply of natural gas are not met during tomorrow, our users will not have a regular supply of thermal energy," stated the Sarajevo heating plants.
