Several thousand people prayed funeral prayer for Sulejman Tihić

Several thousand people on the plateau in front of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH building prayed the funeral prayer for Sulejman Tihić, President of SDA and delegate in the House of Peoples of PSBiH. According to Patria's reporter, the funeral prayer was led by the Reis-ul-ulema of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Husein ef. Kavazović.

- At this moment, here in front of the BiH Assembly, we are bidding farewell to our president, the late Sulejman Tihić. In our Muslim tradition, it is customary to ask for forgiveness (halal). You, his family, extended relatives, friends, and all those who knew him, lived and worked with him. Just as in our lives there are always good, but also other moments, it is time to ask for forgiveness from him - said Reis-ul-ulema Kavazović after the funeral prayer.

The coffin with the body of Sulejman Tihić is in a column of cars that has started towards Bosanski Šamac, the hometown of the SDA president.

After the funeral prayer, a column of vehicles with the coffin will pass through the city, and it will be the final farewell from Sarajevans to a man who has undoubtedly left an indelible mark on the BiH political scene.
