Former underage member of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina Almir Garbo set off by bicycle to Srebrenica

Former underage member of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina Almir Garbo, a member of the PTSD Association „Vox“, set off this morning by bicycle from the building of the Sarajevo Canton on the Peace March „Sarajevo – Srebrenica“, in order to pay his respects to all Srebrenica victims in his own way, reports the Patria news agency.

- I have always wanted to reach the Memorial Center in Potočari by bicycle. I believe it is the duty of every Bosnian and Herzegovinian to go to this town, attend the funeral prayer and pay respects to all those who perished in the genocide. Above all, this is a good deed, because unfortunately there is no one to lay many of the victims to rest in their graves -  Garbo emphasized.

On this occasion, he thanked Minister Muharem Fišo, who supported his departure, as well as Faruk Kreko, a representative of the PTSD Association „Vox“.

As he explained, his planned route is Sarajevo-Olovo-Kladanj-Vlasenica-Srebrenica, after which, together with the delegation of the association he is a member of, he will lay flowers at the Memorial Center Potočari on July 11 as a sign of remembrance for the victims of the genocide.

The Minister for Veterans' Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, Muharem Fišo, saw Garbo off this morning and wished him a safe journey and good health, so that he may complete his journey in the best possible way and thus fulfill his humanitarian mission.
