Sometimes it's better to stay silent: SDP's statement simplified sounds like this - SDA also betrayed, so we want to too!?

If it weren't funny, it would be tragic. At a time of a very difficult, even alarming situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the SDP, which forms the government vertically, is issuing a statement to respond to the Party of Democratic Action, which yesterday highlighted all the bad moves of the 'Troika', and part of the 'Troika' along with the SDP are NIP and Our Party.

So, SDA spoke about the current moment from the perspective of the opposition, and SDP, to justify its actions, writes that the skill of betrayal was established by members of SDA, more precisely, they say SDA has specialized in it for a long time. And if this premise were true, the right question for SDP is why did they continue on the well-trodden paths!? They did not answer that!

Thus, they point out that SDA, with its votes in 2018, enabled SNSD and HDZ BiH to have absolute control over all processes at the state level. They do not explain why they repeated the same mistake in 2023 by giving SNSD the fourth delegate, even though they had the opportunity to observe the results of that disastrous move from the opposition all these years. No, they did the same. They handed over complete control in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament to Milorad Dodik, and they themselves stated in the statement that they knew what happened in 2018.

“By voting for Dušanka Majkić instead of Mirko Šarović, they enabled SNSD absolute control in the House of Peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina, i.e., four out of five seats from RS in this entity. They also voted for HDZ's fourth delegate and thus gave these parties an absolute majority in the ratio of 8:7 out of 15 votes in the House of Peoples,” they state.

The people have long said that every unsaid word is golden, especially when arguments and facts, which have long ceased to be important in BiH, prevent you from lecturing someone, and you are doing the same. SDP's sin is perhaps a little greater, because SDA 'sinned' in 2018, and SDP repeated it. So, they still want to learn from their own experience, and now they are clearly competing with opposition parties, not in doing good, but in who has committed more betrayals!?

They also say that SDA agreed to an imbalance in the appointment of directors at the state level in favor of SNSD, which the Troika reinstated. Without diminishing SDA's sin, perhaps SDP knows how to count, so they can see that the promise from December 2022, when parity of 12-12-12 was promised regarding directors of state institutions, did not happen, and Bosniaks are still disadvantaged.

The fact that SDP lists SDA's sins does not diminish their own, because they came to power presumably to change things, not to announce that others did the same before them!

The citizens of BiH gain nothing from this, so the authorities should be reminded that we are in total blockade, that we have a standstill in reforms, and that the 'European Dodik', as they called him, was a soap bubble that burst, leaving only Milorad Dodik. The government is responsible for every next step, every success and failure will be attributed to them, and at this moment, there is little to be proud of in front of successfully completed work.
