Let them ensure peace, or let them leave the government

The security system in Bosnia and Herzegovina is not functioning. Recent protests by citizens, which were used to attack the state and its institutions, have shown that the problems are far greater than the usual „miscommunications“ between representatives of security structures at all levels of the state. Obstruction and inaction of security instances have continued since the start of the protests until now, the association „Friends of BH“ announced.

- The real question is no longer whether someone supports the protests or not, but whether the authorities are capable of doing their job? We are witnessing that every day about a hundred demonstrators block the main road in the capital of the state. The result is a blockade of normal life for about half a million people who live and work in Sarajevo, or for any other reason need to come to Sarajevo from other parts of the state and the world – they believe in this association.

If the demonstrators are already breaking the law, as stated in the announcement, and protesting unannounced where there are no conditions and where it is not foreseen, thus disrupting public order and peace, why do the authorities who should protect that same public order and peace not react.

- If they are not capable of that, we see no reason for them to remain in power – they state from the association.
