Nedžad Ajnadžić: The difference must be known between those who defended BiH and those who did not

Nedžad Ajnadžić, wartime commander of the 1st Corps of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, warned that the difference must be known between those who defended and those who did not defend Bosnia and Herzegovina during the Serbian aggression on our country from '92 to '95.

That is why today's manifestation "Defence of BiH - Igman 2014" is important, because it precisely draws the line between such people, added Ajnadžić, writes the Patria news agency (NAP)

Thousands of people gathered on August 1 this year at Veliko Polje on Igman to attend the manifestation "Defence of BiH - Igman 2014", reported a Patria agency reporter.

The fiercest battles between the militarily far better equipped army of the Serbian aggressor and the heroes of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina took place during April 1993 precisely on the Olympic mountain. The Serbian aggressor shelled the positions of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina for days, thus gaining a great advantage, but the heroes of the defence of BiH showed unprecedented courage in hand-to-hand combat that took place in the Igman forests. The aggressor was stopped, and his units were broken. By saving Igman from the hands of the aggressor, Sarajevo, that is, the entire BiH, was saved.

The manifestation "Defence of BiH - Igman 2014" every year gathers thousands of heroes from all parts of BiH who participated in the liberation of the country from the Serbian aggressor. They remember the most difficult days of their lives, in which the country was burning and their loved ones suffered. They also remember their comrades who gave their lives for the defence of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

- This manifestation sends a clear message that those who were supposed to defend BiH, but left this country, must answer for it, and those who stayed to defend the state of BiH should be adequately rewarded - said Ajnadžić for Patria.

- It is very important and very significant that we have established a value system which we now need to further develop - added Ajnadžić, writes NAP.
