NO, IT CANNOT: We will not allow anyone to endanger 300,000 human lives, the Una National Park and Nature Park

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - No one may ignore international and all other possible acts that treat the area of protection of human lives and natural resources, was the message from today's protest gathering in Novi Grad, which was also attended by representatives of the Initiative "Trgovska gora, say NO, IT CANNOT!"

"No one has the right to ignore agreed acts, all agreements, conventions, principles and tenets, as well as the position of Bosnia and Herzegovina, whose citizens have the right to life and preservation of the environment in which they live.
The voice of those who are threatened is precisely being ignored by the countries that intend to build a disposal site for nuclear and radioactive waste from the Krško power plant on Trgovska gora, namely Croatia and Slovenia.
Neighbors from Croatia and Slovenia, show neighborly conduct and do not leave your garbage in our backyard. The petition is one of the foundations for a possible lawsuit and further legal battle. This is a matter of
protection of human lives, a matter of survival in these areas, which are already depopulated," it was stated at the gathering.

Those gathered called on all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at home and in the diaspora, and citizens of Croatia who would be endangered by this disposal site to sign the petition and to say "Trgovska gora, say NO, IT CANNOT", because it cannot, we will not allow anyone to endanger 300,000 human lives and the Una National Park and Nature Park. EU member states and their embassies are unacceptably standing on the sidelines.

"The entire international community must finally become actively involved in this problem, must stop the possible exodus of the population from these areas and demand respect for all international legal acts to which BiH and the Republic of Croatia are signatories. We do not want to believe that on September 30 a decision could be made by Croatia and Slovenia to station the disposal site on Trgovska gora, because otherwise that would force us to take radical, un-neighborly measures. We call for reasonable, neighborly treatment of our lives and rights," it was said at the gathering.
