NDP: SNSD holds the judiciary of Republika Srpska firmly in its hands

BANJA LUKA, (Patria) - That there are blacklists for targeting prominent individuals from opposition ranks in Republika Srpska is also evidenced by today's information that the former mayor of Kneževo, NDP's Boro Škeljić, has been reported to the prosecutor's office by the MUP on suspicion of ”embezzling” 36,000 KM, the NDP announced.

After the media witch hunt against the mayor of Teslić, Milan Miličević, it becomes more than clear that the MUP of Republika Srpska has been placed in the service of implementing the SNSD's campaign of publicly labeling people from their ”blacklists”.

While billions of marks are being siphoned out of Republika Srpska from Zvornička Alumina, domestic banks are failing one after another, public companies are being looted, and mines and other riches of the Republic are being put on the auction block, no one is doing anything, and the prosecutor's offices, courts, and police are sitting idly by.

The public has been denied the filing of indictments in the cases of ”Bobar Bank”, ”Bank of Srpska”, ”Pavlović Bank”, ”Balkan Investment Bank”, ”FG Birač”, PE ”Nikola Tesla”, PE ”Commodity Reserves of RS”, and a whole series of public companies. For years, we have also been waiting for the outcomes of investigative actions in RUGIP, the Banking Agency, and the affair concerning construction land in Banja Luka – the NDP points out.

After all this, the NDP adds, they still want to believe that the judiciary is impartial and free, but there is no reason for excessive optimism.

Because it is obvious that the SNSD holds the judiciary of Republika Srpska firmly in its hands. In Republika Srpska, there is a selective approach to justice, and proof of this are the latest witch hunts against opposition public figures, while on the other hand, indictments for crime worth billions of marks, which goes ”under the radar” of judicial institutions, are absent – the NDP claims.
