NB: Ensure the highest possible child allowance

SARAJEVO, (Patria) – At the last session of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the draft Law on Support for Families with Children in the FBiH was adopted, which in practice means removing the possibility of discrimination on a territorial basis and securing funds for unemployed mothers.

The Independent Bloc, although it supported this draft law, believes that the child allowance and financial assistance for unemployed mothers should be much higher, „given the current situation where we have a negative natural increase and mass emigration.“

In this regard, the Independent Bloc will, as announced by the party, through public debate and amendments, try to ensure better financial conditions for a higher amount of child allowance, as well as equal assistance to all mothers in the FBiH, which is in line with the NB's Population Policy.

„Also, in the coming period, the NB will, through its elected representatives at all levels, offer measures and solutions aimed at slowing down the emigration of residents from BiH and ensuring better living conditions“, the NB announced.
