NB and HDZ 1990: Time for the middle way, a broad political center

SARAJevo, (Patria) - Senad Šepić and Ilija Cvitanović, presidents of the Independent Bloc and HDZ 1990, held talks at the Independent Bloc Headquarters today. During the meeting, the need for cooperation between these two political projects was emphasized, as well as connecting with other parties that have the capacity and commitment for internal agreement, with the aim of moving the country forward and building its European perspective.

They also discussed the need to restore faith in the rule of law, the (non)functioning of Bosnia and Herzegovina's institutions, as well as the necessity of adopting amendments to the Criminal Code of BiH, and opening up opportunities to combat crime and corruption in this country.

- We see our political project as a new policy, a middle way. The Independent Bloc brings together a broad political center, and the strong support we see in discussions with our partners, as well as among the people on the streets, in villages, across the country, tells us that people have had enough of both those on the right and those on the left of the political spectrum. We are talking with political options that do not belong to the existing ruling establishment, nor to those who have squandered their opportunities, and we see room for citizens and peoples to support a new approach based on internal agreement and solving life's problems - stated Senad Šepić, president of the Independent Bloc.
