Nataša Miljanović Zubac released: I was arrested like a major criminal because I point out crime in the system

(Patria) - RTRs journalist Nataša Miljanović-Zubac was released after spending the night in custody. She thanked all her colleagues and the media for their support and stated that everything she does is to make BiH a safer and better place to live.

"I thank all my colleagues for their help in what I consider to be the system's abuse because I am pointing out corruption and crime within the system. I was arrested like a major criminal, there was no need for that. If anyone had sent me an invitation, I would have responded to every single institution, except if the invitation arrived late at night. I must say that the people last night were correct," said Nataša Miljanović-Zubac, N1 reports.

She emphasized that she spent the night at the Border Police and was then brought to the Court.

"I saw what it looks like, what I've seen in movies, to be behind bars with these nice people from the Court Police. A new experience, I was prepared for this, I expected maybe worse than what I experienced," she said.

She also thanked the journalistic associations and the Deputy Minister of Human Rights and Refugees of BiH, Duška Jurišić, who was there from the moment of arrest until the end.
