Days of Waqf 2014 Continue: Learn All About the Benefactors of Foča and Tešanj

The Waqf Directorate has announced the event „Days of Waqf 2014“ from 22 to 30 May 2014 in Sarajevo, Tešanj and Foča, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP).

The event, which was scheduled for May this year, was cancelled due to the catastrophic floods that hit our country during that period and endangered a large number of the population, and the Waqf Directorate at that time engaged all its human and other resources in providing necessary assistance to the affected population.

During May, only the Waqf of the Gazi Ferhad-beg Madrasa in Tešanj - the seat of the Majlis, a mevlud and hatma dova for all waqifs in BiH at the Buća Potok mosque in Sarajevo, a panel on waqfs and a ceremonial presentation of waqfnamas at the Gazi Ferhad-beg Mosque in Tešanj, and the laying of the cornerstone for the construction of the destroyed Aladža Mosque in Foča were held.

The Organisational Committee of the Waqf Directorate decided to continue the event „Days of Waqf 2014“ in the second half of October: a round table in Foča „Waqfs of Foča“, a round table in Tešanj „Waqfs of Tešanj“, a promotion of Faruk Muftić's book „Forgotten Foča“ in Foča and Sarajevo, a khutbah „The Social Aspect of Waqf“, and new contents, namely: the opening of the waqf-administrative centre of the Majlis IZ Kiseljak in Kiseljak and a mevlud and ceremonial presentation of waqfnamas in Kiseljak, reports NAP.
