Members of the MUP KS, along with other police agencies, continue the search today for fugitive Amel Sejfović from the Sarajevo Penitentiary, writes Patria News Agency.
An intensive search for Sejfović has been underway since Friday, and a cabin where Sejfović stayed, along with his belongings, was found during a search of the area between Visoko and Kiseljak.
Sanjin Borčak, who was arrested for delivering food to Sejfović after his escape, has been handed over to the jurisdiction of the Sarajevo Cantonal Prosecutor's Office. A decision on further measures will be made after his interrogation by the acting prosecutor.
Detention has so far been ordered for six individuals: three employees of the Sarajevo Penitentiary, two accomplices arrested in the Zenica-Doboj Canton area, and one person arrested in Visoko.
Police are also searching for a masked accomplice who was waiting for Sejfović on a motorcycle after his escape from the penitentiary.
Sejfović and his accomplices are on trial for the robbery of Raiffeisen Bank, which they carried out on November 5, 2015, stealing over 200,000 KM which have never been found. Cyclist Kemo Bašić was killed in an exchange of fire with security guards.
