Departure of medical workers to Germany continues, interviews in October

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The coronavirus stopped the departure from BiH for several months. This also prevented the further departure of medical staff, especially nurses/technicians who have been going to Germany in recent years. 

The Agency for Labor and Employment of BiH announced that the next round of interviews for the Triple Win project - employment of medical workers in the Federal Republic of Germany in 2020 will be held from October 26, 2020 to October 30, 2020.
The application deadline is September 30, 2020, and applications can be submitted through local employment bureaus, employment offices, and by mail to the Agency for Labor and Employment of BiH.

When it comes to the conditions that candidates need to meet, not knowing the German language is not an obstacle for candidates because through the Triple Win project, for candidates who do not have knowledge of the German language, the project provides free language courses up to the required level of knowledge and taking the exam for B1 level, in cooperation with the Goethe Institute.

“Nurses/technicians or pediatric nurses/technicians can apply for the interview invitation. Work experience: Minimum work experience of six months in the last 4 years (general care, internship, volunteer engagement, private home care) or 2 years in the last 7 years. Candidates must hold citizenship of Bosnia and Herzegovina, have permanent residence in Bosnia and Herzegovina, possess proof of regularly completed medical school in Bosnia and Herzegovina for a nurse/technician at least IV level – general direction or pediatric nurse/technician, proof of professional qualification is mandatory,” the invitation states. 

From the day of the interview with the candidates to the day of departure to the Federal Republic of Germany, three to nine months pass, depending on prior knowledge of the German language.

Also, other related occupational groups, such as healthcare assistants, midwives, physiotherapists, laboratory technicians, etc., as well as retraining, are not considered for mediation through the Triple Win project. The project also does not mediate the employment of doctors of medical sciences from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
