Control of disputed water consumers continues, penalties for illegal connections rigorous

After the adoption of the Law on Communal Activities, which was passed yesterday, March 30, 2016, at the session of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly under urgent procedure, KJKP "Vodovod i kanalizacija" d.o.o. Sarajevo continues the control and disconnection of disputed consumers from the water supply network, reports the Patria news agency.

- After the adoption of the Law on Communal Activities by the Sarajevo Canton Assembly, an urgent meeting of the company's management with employees involved in the process of detecting illegal consumers was held at KJKP "Vodovod i kanalizacija" d.o.o. Sarajevo, where precise and clear goals were set for further activities on disconnecting consumers who illegally use the water supply system - said Nezir Hadžić, director of KJKP "Vodovod i kanalizacija" d.o.o. Sarajevo.

On this occasion, it was emphasized that in the coming period, all available human resources will be sent to the field to inspect disputed consumers who have previously been found to illegally manipulate water supply installations without the approval of KJKP "Vodovod i kanalizacija" d.o.o. Sarajevo.

- I appeal to all our consumers who carry out such actions to stop them because the penalties for illegal use of the water supply system will be very rigorous. Such entities will primarily be disconnected from the water supply system, and fines for legal entities will range from 10,000 to 30,000 KM - emphasizes Director Hadžić.
