Campaign Vodoodbrana Sarajeva continues: Request for an emergency session of the Canton Sarajevo Assembly

Representatives of the organizers of the Vodoodbrana Sarajevo campaign will today submit to the Chairperson of the Assembly of Canton Sarajevo, Ana Babić, a request to convene an emergency session of the Canton Assembly regarding the biggest water supply crisis in Sarajevo since the siege of Sarajevo, reports the Patria agency.

The campaign was launched on September 11 and aims to bring about radical changes in the system of public management of water resources and services in this sector, as well as the urgent establishment of a regular water supply for the urban area.

- To achieve this, the action of the Canton Assembly, as the highest authority in the Canton, is crucial, as it can take emergency measures to resolve this extraordinary situation. So far, nearly 3,000 citizens have signed the protest appeal to the Assembly.

The action continues this week at the following times: 10:00-12:00 (park behind the Presidency) and 15:00-17:00 (Higijenski tram stop, across from the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina).
