Trial of Dodik and Lukić to continue on July 17

(Patria) - The trial of Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik and acting Director of the Official Gazette of Republika Srpska Miloš Lukić will continue on Wednesday, July 17, starting at 1 PM.

The BiH Prosecutor's Office accused Dodik and Lukić on September 11, 2023, of the criminal offense of non-implementation of decisions of the High Representative in BiH, for which the law prescribes a sentence of six months to five years in prison and a ban from holding public office.

Dodik is accused of signing decrees on the promulgation of two laws, previously annulled by High Representative Christian Schmidt, in his capacity as President of Republika Srpska.

Lukić is accused of enabling the publication of Dodik's decrees in that publication, as the then acting director of the Official Gazette of Republika Srpska.

The last hearing was held on May 22.
