Continuation of the 'Sarajeco' Canton Sarajevo cleaning campaign in Novi Grad

(Patria) - The Ministry of Communal Economy, Infrastructure, Spatial Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection of Canton Sarajevo informs the public that on Monday, 13 May 2024, in Novi Grad, the continuation of the spring cleaning campaign of Canton Sarajevo - "Sarajeco" will take place.

The Center for Education, Sports and Recreation "Safet Zajko" is the gathering and review point for utility companies, starting at 7:00 AM.

From the relevant ministry, they emphasize that over the next five days, in all local communities in Novi Grad, there will be intensified removal of illegal dumpsites, waste disposal, unclogging of drainage systems, maintenance of public green areas, and all other activities foreseen by the Operational Plan of the campaign.

Given that citizens are intensifying activities in their yards during this period, the Ministry of Communal Economy, Infrastructure, Spatial Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection of Canton Sarajevo calls for increased caution and adherence to legal regulations regarding the disposal and removal of branches and wild vegetation.

Workers from utility companies participating in the spring cleaning campaign of Canton Sarajevo will more actively carry out such activities on public surfaces in the area of the Novi Grad municipality.

As in the municipalities of Centar, Stari Grad and Novo Sarajevo, the campaign involves companies founded by Canton Sarajevo, namely KJKP Rad, KJKP Park, JKP Vodovod i kanalizacija, KJU za zaštićena područja KS, KJKP Pokop, Civilna zaštita Općine Novi Grad Sarajevo, joined by workers from the company Lokom, as well as numerous citizens and activists.
