Classes at UNSA begin on October 12, additional exam period approved for students

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Senate of the University of Sarajevo, at its 18th electronic session held on 09/09/2020, adopted the following conclusions and decisions related to the organization of the teaching process at the University of Sarajevo for the academic year 2020/2021 in the conditions of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Classes in the new academic year begin on October 12, and the admission of freshmen will be organized in accordance with hygienic-epidemiological measures at the faculties/academies.

Regarding classes, part will be conducted online, and practical sessions and the practical part will be held at the faculties, while exams will be online and/or in classrooms. The decision on conducting classes is made by the council of the organizational unit upon the proposal of the quality assurance committee. 

The method of realizing the September exam period at the University of Sarajevo for the academic year 2019/2020 under the conditions of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, as well as an additional September period for the enrollment of students in the first year of the first cycle of studies and the first year of integrated studies and vocational studies at the University of Sarajevo for the academic year 2020/2021, has been adopted. The Senate adopted the decision on an additional exam period which will be held from 01 to 10 October 2020. Students have the right to take only one exam in this additional period, with the exception of Dentistry students for the subjects Ophthalmology and Surgery which they could not take in the June-July period. 

The Senate also made a decision on expanding the Enrollment Plan for students in the first year of the first cycle of studies and the first year of integrated studies at the University of Sarajevo for the academic year 2020/2021.
