Naser Orić pleads not guilty

The wartime commander of Srebrenica, Naser Orić, and member of the Army of RBiH, Sabahudin Muhić, will plead not guilty at the Court of BiH today, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

The indictment charges them that during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the armed conflict between the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Army of Republika Srpska, in the area of Srebrenica and Bratunac, in their capacity as commanders and members of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina forces, they acted contrary to the provisions of international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions.

The indictment states that the accused, during 1992, in the villages of Zalazje, Lolići, and Kunjerac, committed the murder of three prisoners of Serb nationality.

Orić's defense stated at a previous hearing that the witnesses' claims were contradictory and that they would prove it.
