Our experience of war is the best proof of the importance of peace, therefore the Armed Forces should be strengthened as an important factor of the state

(Patria) - It is necessary to strengthen the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina as an important factor of the state, said military mufti Nesib-ef. Hadžić.

Today marks the Day of the Armed Forces of BiH, and the anniversary of the existence and work of the Armed Forces is a significant date for members of the AF and the Ministry of Defence, but also significant for all peoples and citizens of our country.

On this occasion, the military mufti pointed out the importance of the mission of the Armed Forces.

- Starting from the fact that brutal wars marked the last century in our region, and that the culmination of those bloody conflicts was the last war from 1992 to 1995 with the committed genocide against Bosniaks, peace for all peoples of this region represents the greatest value.

It is invaluable for our present and our future. Thousands of lives of our martyrs and fighters were sacrificed for the peace and freedom of the people here - said mufti Hadžić in an interview with the MINA Agency.


Hadžić: Preserve peace in our country

Today, almost two decades later, the mufti emphasizes, the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina have their mission, and within that mission is the task of preserving peace in our country.

- Of course, we proudly point out that with this honorable mission, the Armed Forces operate in the country and provide assistance and support in the event of natural and other disasters, as well as peace support missions around the world.

Our experience of war is the best proof of the importance and necessity of peace. That is why it is important for us to strengthen the Armed Forces as an important factor of the state. We have Armed Forces that are ours and resemble the peoples in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

We should all do everything so that next year, when we mark the 20th anniversary, we can state that we are moving forward every year - the mufti said.

On this occasion, as military mufti, he congratulated everyone in the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces on this important date, which, as he said, is one of the greatest, not only in our recent past.

- Certainly, I am glad that the Military Muftiate also contributes to the affirmation of this important structure for the development and progress of our homeland.
