Naša stranka proposes Dragan Mioković for Speaker of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament

(Patria) - The Our Party caucus officially proposed Dragan Mioković as the new Speaker of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament on Thursday. The proposal was signed by the head of the Our Party caucus in the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament, Mirsad Čamdžić.

In September 2023, Mirjana Marinković Lepić resigned from the position of Speaker for health reasons, but she was never officially relieved of her duties.
Several sessions were led by Deputy Speaker Edina Gabela (SBiH), and Marinković-Lepić transferred her authority to Mladen Bošković (HDZ) to lead the sessions. This is problematic because the leadership of the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament is also held by a cadre from HDZ BiH, i.e., a Croat.

In addition to Mioković and Marinković Lepić, the Our Party representatives in this house are: Marko Cvitanović, Damir Nikšić, Mirsad Čamdžić, and Amir Purić.

This is the first time that the leadership of the House does not include a Bosniak, which the opposition had warned about.
