Naša Stranka in defense of Forto: Sarajevo has decided, never again SDA

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - After the Sarajevo Cantonal Board of SDA called for the dismissal of Edin Forto, the Cantonal Board of Naša Stranka in Sarajevo responded:

"SDA's call to dismiss Edin Forto from the position of Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton is yet another futile attempt to divert attention from the Respirator affair, whose main actor is their Fadil Novalić, who is still on trial today instead of being at work. And not just that affair. In reality, nothing can happen that can surpass the damage that SDA has inflicted on Bosnia and Herzegovina and its citizens during the pandemic, so they are forced to invent things. However, SDA clearly does not have enough imagination, because everything they have stated as a reason for Forto's dismissal is easily refuted.

We are proud of everything Forto's government has done regarding the pandemic. In Sarajevo Canton, over 60 percent of citizens have been vaccinated, and 56 percent are fully vaccinated, which is far ahead of all other cantons. We introduced vaccination in shopping malls. For example, just last weekend, nearly 1500 citizens were vaccinated in just one shopping mall. We established a COVID call center, as well as Drive-in points. Around 2500 citizens are tested daily. Much more positive things could be listed, and all of them would be measured by double the numbers if it weren't for SDA's obstructions, primarily from the federal level.

Let's just remember how late we were with vaccine procurement thanks to the incompetence of SDA cadres, as well as their obstruction of the Sarajevo Canton Government in procuring them. Let's remember the uncoordinated measures of the Federation Government, thanks to which the spread of infection was encouraged instead of being prevented, various attempts to block Sarajevo Canton, and so on. All of this, with all the aforementioned obstructions, was done in two years, not three as SDA tries to deceive the public. They ruled for one year, and we spent almost all of that time without a Minister of Health and without a Minister of Social Affairs. During that time, they were not even able to set up a single container for drive-in testing.

We know that the KS Government is a thorn in your side. Come to terms with the fact that you are not in power and that you will not be. Sarajevo has decided: Never again SDA. To paraphrase a line from the movie Marathonci trče počasni krug: Whoever survived your rule, even hell won't be difficult for them.

To the citizens, on the other hand, we say: Trust Forto's government, report and request everything you think will ease your pandemic period. Criticize us whenever you have arguments for criticism, do not allow those who have done everything to make you leave here, and for those of you who decide to stay to live the worst in Europe, to usurp the space for criticism of us, in your name. And don't forget, it will be better from October."
