Our Party to leave TK government if Kukić doesn't resign from PDA

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - After the United States imposed sanctions on Mirsad Kukić, the president of PDA, Our Party reacted. This party is part of the government in Tuzla Canton together with PDA, SDP BiH and SBB.

"Entering into government in Tuzla Canton with unnatural partners such as PDA was acceptable for us in Our Party only with a programmatic platform. The most significant part of that platform for us in Our Party was the fight against corruption, which the international community has recognized through our work. Our fight against corruption is not just declarative, as we recently confirmed by passing the Law on Reporting, Origin, and Control of Assets of Officials, Holders of Executive Positions, and Advisors in TK, which was proposed by our minister Una Harčin.

Involvement in corrupt activities is a red line for our cooperation. A government determined to act against corruption must not allow one of its leaders to be sanctioned for corruption. We hope that PDA will understand this and that Mirsad Kukić will immediately resign from all positions in this party. We consider this resignation an imperative; if it does not happen, Our Party will no longer support the Government of Tuzla Canton," stated Our Party.
