Naša stranka would, but Uncle Dragan doesn't allow it - Declared for freedom and meritocracy, they vote for Vukoja, dictatorship and separation!

The political organization Naša stranka (Our Party) has defined in its Statute that it is a civic-oriented, social-liberal political organization that respects the highest degree of equality of citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina. We would say that they adhered to these statutory provisions as long as the talk was about protecting cats and dogs, and the LGBTQ group.



However, it is difficult to define what Naša stranka is today, given that from a social-liberal orientation and civic orientation, they have become a key factor in realizing the ethno-elitist demands and intentions of national parties. The fact that they clearly stated they would never work with ethno-nationalists shows they have long since swallowed their pride for the comfort of their seats, but the fact that they deviate from the basic postulates of the Statute for the sake of anti-state projects may reveal the true intentions of the orange project.

Therefore, the Statute of NS is one thing, and reality is another. But that Statute of Naša stranka also offers a confusing fact, which gives a journalist and an observer the right to question who the real leader of that party is. Is it the president Edin Forto or the president Sabina Ćudić?

I have already written about the incidents at the sessions of the Presidency of Naša stranka, where Forto speaks when he needs to protect the intellectual heights of Sabina Ćudić from attacks by party colleagues. However, the way the Statute of Naša stranka is written, specifically the gender used for the position of president, gives grounds for questioning.

The website of Naša stranka states that the Statute was adopted in 2019 and contains amendments adopted at the V Congress of Naša stranka in June 2023.

And the Statute unequivocally states: “NS is represented in public and political life, as well as in legal transactions, by the president of NS.” True, it is stated that “Expressions used in this Statute that have gender meaning, regardless of whether they are used in the masculine or feminine gender, equally encompass all genders and gender identities.”

It's not that they are not recognizable with this wordplay, identity, and the like, but if they already knew before the 2023 Congress that Forto was the only candidate and would be elected president of NS, why write president if the president is male, regardless of the note about writing one identity that applies to all. The word president has been written dozens of times, so I wonder if that party was supposed to have a woman at the helm and then Edin was born, or what?

Another important thing from last year's Congress that profoundly shatters the aura of social-liberalism and a civic party in NS is the declaration they adopted. And that declaration states: “In order to enable the creation of an environment that would pull our country out of the kleptocratic tendencies that we have unfortunately witnessed for too long, thereby losing invaluable demographic substance, Naša stranka will continue its uncompromising fight against corruption, crime, and clientelism, creating a just society based on meritocracy that will not depend on the whims of political leaders, but on the capacities of the system's institutions.”

We are blessed, we would say, if it were so. Naša stranka is perhaps the only party in Bosnia and Herzegovina that adopts certain documents or rules only to break them later. Do you remember those principles and the message “we will not enter government without these principles,” and now they wouldn't even be able to repeat them. Such is the sweetness of power, it erases memory while filling wallets.

The same applies to the declaration, meritocracy, the fight against clientelism, and whatever else they have written. And today they say, “we will vote for Vukoja, so what.” So nothing, except that Marin Vukoja is an original product of ethnocracy, with the least qualifications among the proposed candidates for judge of the Constitutional Court of BiH and with the biggest political background, because he is a loyal member of HDZ.

Therefore, meritocracy is not only absent, but the hands of the members of Naša stranka will destroy it in the key institution for the survival of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. And then the members of Naša stranka will talk about how they are fighting against crime and corruption, even though they will consciously sell the Constitutional Court of BiH to Čović in exchange for a piece of the power pie.

In short, that Declaration of NS ends with the words “Long live freedom.” And look at this freedom-loving approach when their prominent member Damir Nikšić wants to prevent parliamentarians from speaking, and all their deputies raise their hands to violate the Constitution and Rules of Procedure, and in the end, they vote for some version of the Rules of Procedure from the manual “democracy by Kim Jong Un.”

Long live power, long live HDZ and SNSD, who gave us that power, long live the Statute in which President Edin is perhaps President Sabina… That might not be Naša stranka, but it's closer to the truth!”
