Our Party: Avdić should be adequately protected, and journalists given the status of public officials

(Patria) - Our Party reacted to the information about the planned murder of journalist Avdo Avdić.

"Attacks on journalists threaten democracy, and thus the state. In this regard, the protection of media freedom must be a priority for any democratic government. We believe that investigative and police bodies will most seriously assess the danger faced by Avdo Avdić and provide him with adequate protection.

For this purpose, we also believe and will advocate for journalists to have the status of public officials", they added.

Avdić was informed by security agencies in Bosnia and Herzegovina about the findings that his murder was being planned, and the alleged mastermind is Dino Muzaferović Cezar, who was arrested in Ljubljana after the murder of Satko Kekić last week.
