National Theatre and judicial institutions soon on the district heating system

The connection of the National Theatre building and judicial institutions to the district heating system is proceeding according to plan, announced by KJKP “Toplane”, Patria reports.

KJKP "Toplane – Sarajevo" started the implementation of the project to connect the National Theatre building and the judicial institutions building to the district heating system at the end of August 2014. The works on connecting the mentioned facilities are proceeding according to plan and in phases.

The construction part of the works is carried out by an external contractor, the company "Mibral" d.o.o. Sarajevo, while all mechanical and electrical works are performed by employees of KJKP "Toplane - Sarajevo" d.o.o. The execution of all works is proceeding according to the previously established schedule, in phases. So far, a complete reconstruction of the existing heating pipeline route has been carried out over a length of 120 linear meters in the existing concrete channel, and 130 linear meters of new heating pipeline route have been laid.

- Simultaneously, works are underway at the "Zvijezda" boiler room in Čobanija Street, at the low group substation, which involve the replacement of circulation pumps and the frequency regulation system, i.e., the reconstruction of the heat exchanger and pump system. For the project to be successfully realized, it is necessary to lay an additional 80 linear meters of new heating pipeline route, which involves laying pipes under the Čobanija bridge, lay 150 linear meters of new heating pipeline route from the Čobanija bridge to the judicial palace building, as well as 80 linear meters of new route inside the building, lay 70 linear meters of new heating pipeline route from the Čobanija bridge to the National Theatre building, as well as 20 linear meters of new route inside the building – announced by „Toplane“.

In the facilities that will be supplied with thermal energy, there will be a reconstruction of connection points and installation of heat meters based on which the billing of thermal energy will be carried out. 
For the successful performance of the function of producing thermal energy for the facilities being connected to the district heating system, the production of an additional 5.5 MW of thermal power from the "Zvijezda" boiler room will be ensured.
