People's European Party offers support to Semir Efendić for Mayor of Novi Grad

(Patria) - The Municipal Organization of NES Novi Grad has officially supported the candidacy of Semir Efendić for Mayor of Novi Grad Municipality Sarajevo in the upcoming local elections.

This decision comes as a result of the recognized continuous success in leading the municipality, where numerous projects and improvements, realized under the leadership of Mayor Efendić, have brought visible results for the citizens of this local community. NES Novi Grad believes that further work under his leadership will ensure stable development and further improvement of the quality of life in the Novi Grad municipality.

The Mayor of Novi Grad Municipality Sarajevo, Semir Efendić, expressed his gratitude to the Municipal Organization of NES Novi Grad Sarajevo for the support provided ahead of the upcoming local elections. Efendić emphasized the importance of the cooperation with NES so far, stressing that a common vision for the development of the municipality has been established, as well as a clear commitment to preserving the sovereignty and dignity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“First of all, I want to thank my colleagues from the People's European Party Municipal Organization of Novi Grad Sarajevo for their support. Our experience with NES in the past period has been positive, and together we have gone through some important and difficult processes for Bosnia and Herzegovina. I believe that in those moments we showed determination and dignity in order not to participate in the humiliation of this country and its citizens, which has unfortunately been the result of the policy of the Trojka in the past year and a half. As for the Municipality of Novi Grad, we have shown in the past period how we work, and that is something that is visible and known in Novi Grad for a long time, and our citizens know that.

"Colleagues from NES, since they did not have their own candidate for mayor, decided to give us their support, and I thank them for that. And I truly see and feel that this support is sincere,” Efendić stated.

The President of the Municipal Organization of NES Novi Grad, Haris Rustemović, emphasized that the decision to support Mayor Semir Efendić in the upcoming elections was unanimous, primarily due to his commitment to the development of the local community, as well as the preservation of BiH's sovereignty. He added that citizens should choose people with proven successes behind them in the upcoming elections.

“At the meeting of the Municipal Organization of NES Novi Grad Sarajevo, it was unanimously decided that full support would be directed towards the current mayor Semir Efendić, who has so far shown commendable results in the development of the local community, and is recognized for his character and commitment to preserving the sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina. NES BiH Novi Grad tells citizens that they should choose people of character and consistency who prove their work through deeds. Our list consists of your everyday neighbors, who contribute to the development of the local community even without politics, and many have also contributed to the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Rustemović pointed out.
