European People's Union makes 350 children in Sarajevo happy with gift packages

(Patria) - Ahead of the new year 2022, the European People's Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina (NES BiH) organised today a distribution of New Year's gift packages at the sports hall "Goran Čengić". In a wonderful atmosphere, 350 children were delighted with gift packages, for whom a great party was also prepared.

The little ones were entertained by Santa Claus, Mirsad Abdagić Kike, Paw Patrol, and a special surprise was face painting and a slide, which further cheered the children.

Today's event was also attended by the mayors of the municipalities of Stari Grad and Novo Sarajevo, Ibrahim Hadžibajrić and Hasan Tanović.

The Deputy President of the European People's Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina (NES BiH), Mayor Ibrahim Hadžibajrić, greeted those present and wished them happy upcoming holidays with the message that with this event we are sending a message that the future lies with the youth.

“I want to thank the Mayor of Novo Sarajevo Municipality for providing this hall for the distribution of New Year's gift packages. Today's event was organised by the European People's Union for the children of Sarajevo. As the Deputy President of the European People's Union, I am here today to distribute gift packages to the children and to congratulate them on the upcoming holidays. We prove ourselves through deeds, and our future lies with the youth,” Hadžibajrić emphasised.

The Mayor of Novo Sarajevo Municipality, Hasan Tanović, thanked the European People's Union for organising today's event for the little ones of the entire Sarajevo Canton.

“Thanks to the European People's Union, today we have a beautiful event here, the distribution of New Year's gift packages on the occasion of the upcoming holidays. The Novo Sarajevo Municipality strives to offer additional content to all our citizens this year as well. And this time, thanks to the European People's Union and their organisation, we have the distribution of gift packages,” Tanović said.

The Coordinator of the European People's Union for Region 6, Haris Selmanović, thanked the President of the European People's Union, Nermin Ogrešević, and the Deputy President of NES BiH, Ibrahim Hadžibajrić, for financing today's event, as well as the Mayor of Novo Sarajevo Municipality, Hasan Tanović, who provided the hall for the distribution of gift packages. Selmanović emphasised that the goal of today's event is to bring a new magic and a new colour to the Sarajevo Canton.

“Today we organised a nice story, given that there are difficult topics in society, and it is the end of the year, the coronavirus has taken its toll. There are major economic problems, however, today, together with Paw Patrol, Kiketa Budaliketa, our team, and face painting, we will bring a new magic, a new colour to the Sarajevo Canton. This is the first such event since we have existed. I want to thank the Novo Sarajevo Municipality, I want to thank Mr. Nermin Ogrešević and Ibrahim Hadžibajrić for enabling and financing the gift packages for our little ones,” Selmanović said.

With today's event, the European People's Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina (NES BiH) brought smiles and happiness to the faces of the youngest fellow citizens and their parents, with the message that the future of all of us lies in our children and youth.
