THE PEOPLE AND THE DECEPTION Konaković dreamed of a career as a political Eliot Ness, woke up as the devil's advocate!

You're finished. We're coming. We'll sweep you away… Do you remember these threatening messages that the president of the People and Justice party, Elmedin Konaković, sent to his political rivals and predecessors?

Yes, Konaković, who is now also the head of Bosnia's diplomacy, like some political apocalypse, tried to wrap all his political rivals and predecessors in a black cloak of corruption-mafia mire, announcing that he would investigate them, report them to the judiciary, and publish their deeds in the media.

The worn-out phrase "karma is a bitch" has proven quite destructive for the president of the People and Justice party in Konaković's case. Two former mayors and several lower-ranking cadres of the former government are all that Konaković, along with the Troika structures, managed to send to prison/detention or into prosecution.

But at the same time, this apocalyptic fighter against corruption and crime increasingly appears before the seventh power and the public as a defender of the honor of those arrested for criminal acts who are close to Konaković and the People and Justice party.

It started with the "Black Tie" operation, when Konaković himself suspected that he was the black tie by rushing to a press conference and saying that some people were linking him to that tie. The truth is completely the opposite, because during the operation and afterwards, no one mentioned or connected him to it: True, it was written that he was a godfather to the arrested Memija, but that has nothing to do with the tie.

At that conference, the apocalyptic expeller of corruption and crime showed all the absurdity of the name of his party and the messages he sent before he seized power. He accused journalists, the media, undermined the judiciary and threatened - "I will personally contact Europol to ask for information on whether I am in the SKY application."

Much water has flowed under the bridge since then, but Konaković has never told us what Europol's response was. Or maybe he did, because the director of the Federal Police Administration, Vahidin Munjić, could not enter the Europol building for a meeting of police chiefs.

Dino Konaković celebrated every release of suspects who were allegedly members of the network of a super-powerful European cartel based in Dubai. And after the celebration, he talked about the rule of law, the European path, and the like.

These days, Konaković is nervous again. He is again casting doubt on the judiciary, again having to "cleanse" himself for his cadres while they are being arrested. The president of NiP has spent two years of his mandate justifying himself for his arrested cadres and friends. So frequently and authoritatively that the uninformed might think we have gone from a minister from the DIF to a minister from the law faculty.

"People's Injustice" would be a more fitting name for Elmedin Konaković's party. Because while Sarajevo is dirtier than ever, his director of the public utility company has to defend himself against accusations of falsifying a certificate of work experience and abuse of office.

And worst of all, this is not an isolated case; at least three cadres of the government in which Konaković imposed himself as a leader have also falsified evidence of work experience, which clearly shows that the People's Injustice and its partners install people without competence and credibility in positions.

And then our spinner Konaković rushes onto the small screens and says "punish them double," because, after all, he is a fighter against corruption, so he punishes his own double. However, he did not fail to add "but don't pack them up," probably fearing a scenario like the one in which Novalić was packed up, whose verdict he, as a political apocalypse against corruption, would read.

But Konaković will not tell us what the Office for the Fight against Corruption told him when he asked whether, because of his councilor in the Center, a child of a martyr was left without a job due to a rigged competition. He spoke up once and then fell silent, as always when his nose or donkey ears grow.

Given all these suspicions of forgery and fabrication, perhaps "People's Injustice" is not the best name for Konaković's party. It is more likely that it is a party fabricated for the people, to throw dust in our eyes about cleaning and sweeping away corrupt predecessors while their partners tighten the noose around our necks.

We haven't seen the Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milanko Kajganić, for months, but we have seen the legal representative of the suspects from the cartel network far too often, performing unprecedented legal acrobatics on the political floor of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the style of a lawyer from the DIF.

In short, he wanted to be a versatile Eliot Ness, but he is closer to the role of Cosa Nostra's Giancarlo Pittelli!
