Drug lord Edin Gačanin Tito in Sky: 'Konaković is important to us. He is impatient. I will sit with him personally'

“He is important to us,” drug lord Edin Gačanin Tito will write ten minutes before midnight on February 11, 2020, in the Sky application.

That evening, Tito was discussing politics with his associates, writes Istraga.

“SDA is nearing its end,” Edin Gačanin Tito will state around 8:53 PM while texting in a Sky group with his associates, including Adnan Smajlović, known as Pepi.

Then, the topic of conversation becomes the president of People and Justice, Elmedin Konaković.

“SDA is nearing its end. Kona has realized it. But he showed his hand too early. If only he had been a little more patient. Kona would have had more power. Too fast. Impatient. A Bosniak. That's a mistake. If only he had waited a little. Yes, he is important to us. If he agrees, it will be a big step for us. I will sit with him personally,” wrote Edin Gačanin Tito.

This is just one of the conversations in which Edin Gačanin Tito and his associates mention the president and cadres of People and Justice. Istraga will publish some conversations mentioning Aljoša Čampara and Toni Vukadin in the coming days.

“SDA is losing Zenica because this one joined NiP. Sarajevo is shaky for them, especially because of this latest scandal with (Asim) Sarajlić,” Edin Gačanin Tito wrote in the Sky application on April 20, 2020, during a conversation with Haris Behram and Dženis Kadrić.

“Mostar,” Tito continues to Haris Behram, “they have it because of you, brother, and that’s even the Čampara faction, not Bakir.”

“Essentially, they have Mostar and other cities, and if they lose Sarajevo and Zenica, that's the beginning of the end for them. Now is our moment,” Edin Gačanin Tito ordered in April 2020.

That year, People and Justice experienced significant growth in Sarajevo in the local elections.

“Brothers, after Sarajevo, the Tuzla Canton is the most important. We must hit it hard,” Haris Behram wrote in April 2020.

After the local elections, members of the drug cartel continued to write about cooperation with NiP. It was December 23, 2020, when Tito's associate Dženis Kadrić received a message from his brother Amar.

“Basically, the president (Konaković) wants to and has no problem. Alone or with diplomacy, no problem,” wrote Amar Kadrić, who is the son-in-law of Konaković's party colleague and friend Mahir Hodžić.

It is precisely Hodžić, the “father-in-law,” who helps with further identification.

“Father-in-law (Mahir Hodžić) tells me,” the previous message sent to Dženis Kadrić read, “that the two of them are going with their wives.”

“As for what you mentioned,” Dženis's brother continues, “let the president (Konaković) decide if he needs to be there or not.”

So, it was December 2020, and these are the conversations that EUROPOL provided to BiH police agencies. Dženis Kadrić used Sky under the name “Wolverine Elite Comando,” number 3I5389. Here is the key part.

“It can also be private, that's best. But when they see who they are sitting with, what their position is, who they are, where they are. So they know who to bring with them. My father-in-law tells me, the best option is for the two of them to go with their wives. Now, if something important is to be done, and they will know that when they see who they are sitting with, then if they need to bring people with them, that's not a problem. Basically, the president wants to, and there's no problem. Alone or with diplomacy, no problem. As for what you mentioned, let the president decide if he needs to be there or not,” the messages found in Dženis Kadrić's Sky phone read.

Less than two months later, specifically on February 14, 2021, Kadrić sent a note with the passport numbers of Elmedin Konaković, his daughter K.A.K., Dalija Hasanbegović-Konaković, Nijaze Hodžić, and Mahir Hodžić.

The passport numbers of the “Father-in-law” and the “President” “with their wives” were found when unpacking Dženis Kadrić's Sky application. The president of NiP, Elmedin Konaković, admitted that “people from the party” sent passport numbers to a group of prominent citizens from Dubai. And that prominent citizen is Dženis Kadrić, a former member of the Federal Police Administration and for years the head of security for Edin Gačanin Tito.

In March 2021, shortly before the Sky application was “taken down,” Dženis Kadrić wrote: “I went through a lot to bring these people. We have to give them a chance. The best people are in NiP. Now Čampara has switched.”
