Sleet and snow expected in Bosnia in the coming days, rain in Herzegovina

In the period from January 5 to January 21, 2015, variable weather is expected with precipitation in the form of sleet and snow in Bosnia, while it will rain in Herzegovina. Light snow in Bosnia is expected on January 5 and 6, followed by a period of more stable weather from January 6 to 9, according to the forecast of the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

- In the period from January 9 to 12, larger amounts of precipitation are expected, in the form of rain and sleet in Bosnia, snow in the mountains, and rain in Herzegovina. From January 12 to 18, a more stable period with negligible precipitation across the country is expected. At the end of the forecast period, from January 19 to 21, moderate precipitation is expected, snow in Bosnia, and rain in Herzegovina.

Minimum morning temperatures will be constantly rising in the coming period, until January 19, when a slight drop in temperatures is expected. A period with low morning temperatures in Bosnia is expected until January 12, and temperatures will locally drop to -10 degrees Celsius, with the coldest conditions in central and eastern Bosnia. It will be significantly colder on January 11 and 12, when minimum temperatures in Bosnia are expected to range from -12 to -6 degrees Celsius, and in Herzegovina from -4 to 1 degree Celsius. Morning temperatures in the period from January 12 to 19 in Bosnia will range from -1 to 4 degrees Celsius, and in Herzegovina from 2 to 8 degrees Celsius. A slight drop in temperatures is expected from January 19, when morning temperatures in Bosnia are expected to range from -5 to -1 degrees Celsius, and in Herzegovina from 1 to 6 degrees Celsius.

Maximum daily temperatures will be slightly rising from January 5 to January 19. In the period from January 5 to 12, maximum daily temperatures in Bosnia are expected to range from -3 to 5 degrees Celsius, and in Herzegovina from 5 to 11 degrees Celsius. Slightly lower temperatures are expected on January 11 and 12, when they are forecast to be from -6 to 1 degree Celsius in Bosnia, and from -2 to 5 degrees Celsius in Herzegovina. For the period from January 12 to 19, maximum daily temperatures in Bosnia are forecast to range from 3 to 12 degrees Celsius, and in Herzegovina from 7 to 14 degrees Celsius. A slight drop in temperatures is expected from January 19, when maximum daily temperatures in Bosnia will reach up to 5 degrees Celsius, and in Herzegovina up to 8 degrees Celsius.
