Next Session of the BiH House of Representatives on 31 October, Coalition to Harmonise Positions by Then

(Patria) - The regular session of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly will be held on 31 October, when a new attempt will be made to adopt agreements and decisions that the state coalition failed to agree on today, so the 8th emergency session of this House was postponed.

Namely, SNSD demanded that all five items be voted on jointly, while the Troika, joined by SDA, demanded a separate vote on each item.

DF representative Milan Dunović said this is a path to blockades, and that there are obviously blackmails within the coalition.

SDA Club Chief Šerif Špago said there was no need to create problems over today's items and that everything should have been resolved much earlier.

“These agreements were passed by the BiH Council of Ministers and the BiH Presidency. It should have been agreed within the parliamentary majority. Everything culminated in the rejection of laws in the House of Peoples. Those laws were in the interest of all citizens. Muscles are being unnecessarily flexed on matters that are in the interest of citizens. They agreed on salary increases for themselves, but on what is in the interest of citizens, they did not find consensus,” he said.

House Chairman Marinko Čavara said the decision to postpone the session was made because it was clear there was no agreement to adopt all agenda items.

“We will try to adopt positions as soon as possible, and no later than 31 October at the regular session,” said Čavara.

Sanja Vulić from SNSD told the Troika to talk more among themselves.

"I cannot say there is a crisis in the coalition, but our partners, colleagues from the Troika, need to talk a bit more among themselves, because according to the old folk saying ‘too many midwives, sickly children’, I fear we will get nowhere,” said Vulić.

She pointed out that Predrag Kojović from Our Party and Denis Zvizdić from NIP objected to the joint voting and that ultimately the reason was the rejection of several legal solutions in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly.
